In the next episode of "The Orville," Captain Ed Mercer (Seth MacFarlane) and his crew are thrust into a strange dimension which endangers everyone.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "New Dimensions" was just released recently and showed the Orville zipping dangerously across outer space and causing hundreds of crew members to get knocked off their positions. "What the hell just happened?" Mercer says to his crew on deck. Apparently, the space vessel is entering a new dimension unlike anything they have seen previously. Later, the Orville gets chased by an unknown enemy who fires at the space vessel. The transport vehicle escapes the Orville to head for a nearby planet. It manages to enter the atmosphere and makes a landing on the unknown planet.

Mercer, Kelly Grayson (Adrienne Palicki), and Dr. Claire Finn (Penny Johnson Jerald) explore the alien terrain and come across a strange facility. They enter it carefully to find clues about the alternate dimension. "Oh my god," Finn says as she sees something horrific that could explain their desperate situation. Meanwhile, John LaMarr (J. Lee) is being considered for a leadership position on the ship. Apparently, he is more intelligent than he lets on to everyone. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen where in the universe the Orville is and if Mercer and his group will be able to get them out of the mysterious dimension.

In the last episode, Alara Kitan (Halston Sage) suffered a panic attack which stopped her from saving a crew member. She decided to confront her fear by putting herself in a dangerous training exercise which almost ended her life. In the end, she was able to conquer her fear and return for duty.

"The Orville" season 1 episode 11 will air on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 10 p.m. EST on Fox.
