The Pirate Bay (TPB) and KickAss Torrents (KAT) are the two most visited sites when it comes to torrent needs, before. KAT has been closed down by the U.S. Government and rumor has it that TPB may also be taken out. However, it is not yet the end of the line for torrent aficionados. There are still several reliable sites left, and some of them are listed below.

The new kid on the block is 1337X. It gained a huge traffic after the torrent shakeup that started last summer and rose to become one of the top five. It became so popular, although it was previously inaccessible via a Google search. Its homepage contains torrent listings that are blocked by the search engine. Now, the team behind the torrent site overhauled their landing page, and the site is now accessible.

A private membership torrent community exists in the form of Demonoid. Only registered members can access the contents of the site, and memberships open and close randomly. The site is one of the best options for finding current torrents and reliable seeders.

RARBG can be considered a reliable site, but it is mostly for peer-to-peer (P2P) enthusiasts. The torrent site is about high-resolution files and not about high quantity of torrents. It is also a members-only community, so it is not for everybody.

EtraTorrent is also considered to be one of the largest in the community. It is very visual and a very busy one, so it is worth checking out. Tons of movies and music files are available from here.

Meanwhile, Torrent Freak posted the most downloaded movies for users of BitTorrent. For the latest tally, "Pete's Dragon" tops the list, followed by "Jason Borne." "Snowden" comes in third, while "Suicide Squad" goes up from seventh place. "War Dogs" took the fifth spot, which previously held the top position, while "The BFG" stayed in the same spot since last week. "Doctor Strange" slipped down from third to seventh. "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," "Ouija: Origin of Evil," and "Mechanical Resurrection" occupy the last three spots.
