With the new season of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" (RHOA) fast approaching, the network released the first trailer for the upcoming season to whet fans' appetite for drama.

The brand new season 8 will hit the small screens next month, and based on the trailer, Sheree Whitfield and Peter Thomas will be in for some trouble.

Whitfield, an original cast member who exited the show and is now returning for RHOA season 8, appears to always end up getting into a fight with the housewives. In the trailer released for the upcoming season, Whitfield's tension with Kenya Moore may be noted. 

On the other hand, Cynthia Bailey's husband will also be getting into trouble in the upcoming season because of the cheating scandal that rocked the show last summer. Both Bailey and Thomas had a rough time over the last few months because of the latter's infidelity. The couple has also been rumored to be getting a divorce.

Now, a new report from OK! Magazine mentioned that the couple's drama might just be Bailey's clever way of landing a spot in the series. However, the magazine's source revealed that the couple's marital problems were also reason enough for Bailey to decide to return for season 8.

When the scandal broke out over the summer, fans doubted the authenticity of the Thomas/Bailey drama, but based on the newly released season 8 trailer, RHOA fans are definitely getting all the details of the scandal.

Meanwhile, with NeNe Leakes out of the show, producers have searched for the most suitable individuals to take her place.

Apart from Whitfield who makes a comeback in the upcoming season, Kim Fields was also recently confirmed to have joined the series. Fields is known for her shows "Living Single" and "The Facts of Life."

Season 8 of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
