Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida appeared to have a picture-perfect marriage until Nida's troubles with the law came to light.

Earlier in 2015, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star announced that she was divorcing Nida, but as of the moment, the star has yet to file divorce papers.

In a recent interview with OK!, Parks opened up about her feelings for her husband, saying that she still loves him.

"I still love my husband, and I will always love him," said the 44-year-old, as quoted by Radar Online. "He's the father of my children, and something great came from our union."

Parks also spoke about the challenges of being a single mother. The reality star is the sole caregiver of sons Ayden and Dylan while Nida is serving his prison sentence.

"I think the hardest part about being a single mom is that all the responsibilities and all the weight of being a single
parent falls on your shoulders," said the reality star, adding that there isn't enough time for single parents to just relax. But Parks said that her parents have been a big help while Nida does his time.

"My parents are really good," she added. "My mom comes every week and helps me."

Despite her failed marriage with Nida, the lawyer and entrepreneur said that she remains optimistic.

"This has not tainted my view on love," Parks said. "I believe in love."

Back in 2014, Nida was sentenced to an eight-year prison sentence after his involvement in a huge fraud case. The reality star has been in federal prison for more than a year.

Fans of Parks and Nida saw how their marriage crumbled in season 7 of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." Apollo accused Phaedra of cheating on him and he also scared her when he barged into their house days before he was about to report to prison.

In September 2014, Apollo announced via his Instagram account that he has arrived in prison and was "about to go asunder."
