It has been months since "The Real Housewives of Dallas" ended its freshman run with an explosive reunion show, and news has been scarce about Bravo's latest addition to the "Housewives" franchise. There have been reports that the show may have been canceled due to poor ratings, but before the end of October, the network officially confirmed that the show will be returning for season 2.

Entertainment Tonight was able to get a confirmation from Bravo that the series has been renewed for its second season, slated to air next year. The season 1 cast included LeeAnne Locken, Brandi Redmond, Stephanie Hollman, Cary Deuber and Tiffany Hendra. No word yet on who will be returning for the new installment, but rumors claim that Hendra won't be back for season 2. It appears that filming has begun for the new season, as indicated by the stars' recent Instagram posts.

Here's what fans can expect when "The Real Housewives of Dallas" returns to Bravo.

New cast members

Dallas Observer reports that D'Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott are tipped to join the cast in season 2. On her Instagram page, Simmons describes herself as the CEO of Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care, and she is also a Hayward Luxury brand ambassador, TV host, blogger, and columnist, among others. On Nov. 13, Simmons posted a photo of her getting glammed up for an event, and it appears that the rumors are accurate as she wrote that she is preparing for a night out with Westcott and Locken. The businesswoman also included the hashtag "#RHOD" on her post, which means that the outing will likely be featured in season 2.

Halloween episode

It appears that there will be a Halloween episode in season 2 as Deuber posted a short clip of her and Hollman throwing rose petals in the air while dressed for the holiday. Deuber is wearing a tiger-print unitard and had her arms and legs painted to match, while Hollman dons a shortened dress inspired by the fashions of 18th century Paris.

Girls' Weekend episode

Based on Hollman's recent Instagram post, it looks like the ladies will be heading out of Dallas for a girls' weekend trip, so expect more shenanigans and drama when the show returns.

"The Real Housewives of Dallas" season 2 premieres in 2017 on Bravo.
