One of the cast members of the Bravo reality television show "The Real Housewives of New York City," Luann de Lesseps, was recently arrested after causing a scandalous scene while she was drunk. The reality television star was apprehended and detained by the local authorities. This caused fans to wonder regarding her future, but it is safe to assume that Bravo will be using the case to generate hype for the show for when it premieres some time in 2018.

As reported by People, the events surrounding the 52-year-old's arrest will be well documented and even highlighted in season 10 of "The Real Housewives of New York City." However, it is important to note that the Bravo production's camera crew is on break for the holidays, which means that the actual incidents leading up to the arrest as well as after were not documented. The crew will be getting back to work after the New Year.

The show is no stranger to the cast's personal life being made public. One of the cast members, Tinsley Mortimer, was arrested back in 2016 in Palm Beach for tresspassing, while Bethenny Frankel's ongoing divorce is covered by the crew as well. With de Lesseps being one of the original members of the cast since the series debuted in 2008, the show will definitely be including her story for the fans to see.

De Lesseps' drunken incident occurred at The Colony Hotel at Palm Beach, Florida. Police reports stated that she entered a wrong hotel room, which prompted the occupants to complain to hotel security. The local authorities were then contacted, and de Lesseps refused to leave the room -- and even managed to slam the bathroom door on one of the police officers faces. She is now charged with resisting arrest and five counts of assault toward the officers.

Once de Lesseps regained her senses, she released a public apology on her Twitter page, stating that it was her first time to visit Palm Beach since she was married to her ex-husband, Tom d'Agostino. The memories of her previous marriage rendered de Lesseps to become emotional -- and this led her to cause a scene at the hotel.
