Prepare for a new batch of drama and tension with the premiere of "The Real Housewives of Potomac" today, Jan. 17. The latest iteration of the popular Bravo reality series follows Ashley Darby, Christine Jackson Jordan, Karen Huger, Katie Rost, Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon.

Dubbed the "grand dame," Huger's part will mostly be about her youngest kid turning 18 and getting ready for college. When asked by Us Weekly who she will bat heads with on the show, she said it's Bryant.

"Just because we're both very strong, confident women, and everybody wants to be the diva on top. I just happen to be it," Huger said on the main reason she and Bryant clash in "The Real Housewives of Potomac."

Bryant is the former wife of renowned Baltimore pastor Jamal Harrison Bryant. Apart from quite a lot of dating, she will be spending her time in "The Real Housewives of Potomac" by basically bickering with each and every one of her co-stars except for Dixon, who is married to former NBA star Juan Dixon.

Bryant also said that by the end of the season, international model and fellow housewife Rost would want to throw her in a trash can or over a bridge. While that remains to be seen, Darby testifies that Bryant is really not the friendliest in the group.

"Especially in the beginning, Gizelle – I feel like she judged me a little bit harshly when she met me, and I had to really stand my ground and show her that she couldn't roll over me. I had to have some backbone," Darby said.

Darby is a restaurateur and is married to 57-year-old Australian real-estate millionaire Michael. Being only 27, she is the youngest housewife in "The Real Housewives of Potomac" and this made her quite apprehensive in joining the show.

"The Real Housewives of Potomac" promises drama, catfights and mayhem in Montgomery County. WTOP notes that it isn't the first DC-based series from the franchise. Back in 2010, there was the "The Real Housewives of DC," which was cancelled after its freshman run.

"The Real Housewives of Potomac" premieres today at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
