'The Sims 4' update: Smarter, more emotional Sims, no toddlers or pools

The gaming world got to see a preview of "The Sims 4" during the E3. EA and Maxis divulged tons of information on the new game like the powerful build mode, controlling the emotions of a Sim better and improved customization of a Sim.

"The Sims 4" is said to be one that "will enhance your experience," described GameZone. And why wouldn't it, with all the new features of the game, playing "The Sims" may never get as good as this one.

Producer Ryan Vaughn shared on his blog: "While it's not possible for us to include every single feature and piece of content we added to The Sims 3 over the last 5 years, we've added features that you've asked for and that offer a whole new intuitive and fun way to build. These are features like Wall Height Adjustment, Dynamic Foundation Sizing, and Smart Windows!"

Vaughn also revealed, "And though pool building won't be available in September, we do have a new Fountain Tool so you can create sophisticated landscapes." There you have it, there will be no pools at the beginning launch of the game.

Vaughn also shed some light on the different age range of Sims available. "As for ages, we have babies, children, teens, young adults, adults and elders," he added. Producer Graham Nardone confirmed this news and clarified it through Twitter saying, "We know they're distinctly different and didn't want to shoehorn them in." How did the players react? They really did't like it at all.

One thing is to be considered hereā€”the exclusions of these features are only done in the base game. This means that there is a huge possibility that pool building and toddlers will be included in the future expansion packs. And if you're a fan of the game, you'll know how many expansions are released. On the other hand, EA made sure that "The Sims 4" makes up on what it lacks by being the base game with the most objects to offer.

What can you expect from the Sims themselves? Rachel Franklin, executive producer of "The Sims 4 told PC Gamer, "These are brand new Sims, whose traits, emotions and aspirations combine to define more meaningful personalities than you've ever played with before. You decide not only what they look like, but more importantly, who they are. The combination of these new Sims, our powerful new creative tools, and the all-new Gallery add up to the best game we've ever made."

The game trailer also showed that "The Sims 4" will feature smarter and Sims with big personalities. Pre-orders are currently available. "The Sims 4" will be officially released on September 2.
