The highly anticipated release of "The Sims 4" in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is still put on hold, as the game developers continue to work out several issues that could cause some problems for the game's console editions.

Neurogadget revealed that game developers EA and Maxis are facing several challenges in creating the console version of the popular life simulation game that was originally released on PC. According to the report, all of the game studios' attempts eventually resulted to a bug that caused the setback on the game's release date.

EA reportedly planned to release the console editions of "The Sims 4" two years after the PC edition came out in 2014 and the Mac edition went public in 2015. This could mean that the console editions will be released sometime in 2016 or 2017.

But while there are no new reports about the actual release date of "The Sims 4" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, reports claim that EA is ready to release the new Restaurant pack DLC for PC called "The Sims 4: Dine Out."

According to Inquisitr, the Sims Community spotted a pre-order notice from Smyth Toys saying that the restaurant-themed expansion pack will be released on May 26.

The order's description reportedly reads: "Own a restaurant and take your Sims out to eat. Create and manage a variety of restaurants, hire staff, and set the perfect menu to earn a profit and expand your business. Dine out with Sims to enjoy all-new experimental cuisine and spend quality time with friends and family."

However, the posting has reportedly been taken down by the website.

There are also two other expansion packs coming for "The Sims 4": "Movie Hangout Stuff" and "Romantic Garden Stuff." But the expansion packs' release dates are still unannounced.
