The video game by developers Maxis, "The Sims 4," is about to head over to consoles very soon. If that is not enough for fans to look forward to, it has been reported that Maxis will be providing more content than gamers initially expected. These add-ons will definitely serve as more incentive for players to get the game for their consoles, but also provide them with more options on how to play the game.

In a report by Twinfinite, there will be a total of five downloadable content (DLC) available for "The Sims 4," namely "Perfect Patio Stuff," "City Living," "Vintage Glamour Stuff," and the whimsical "Vampires pack." Each of the individual content provides the player with more ways to glamourize and customize the multiple factors of their Sims and their homes. The "Vampires pack" allows players to control vampire Sims, which is definitely a fresh change.

According to True Achievements, it is no secret that "The Sims" has always had a healthy list of options by way of DLC through the years. Now that the game is going to finally reach consoles, it seems that the developers do not intend on breaking the trend of providing more content – only this time, the content will be made available as soon as the games hit shelves. Perhaps, console users should consider themselves lucky.

As generous as Maxis is with their DLC for PlayStation and Xbox users, not all of them will be available for free. According to Inquisitr, only "City Living," "Vintage Glamour, and "Vampires" will be included in the base form of the game upon its release. This means that if players want to get a hold of the other two packs, then they will have to purchase them.

Furthermore, it has been clarified that those who already have the PC versions of the game will not be able to transfer their files to their consoles. This is because the versions are "platform specific."

"The Sims 4" will be available for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on Nov. 17.
