There are not many rumors going around about "The Sims 5." Some even believed that no work has been performed on the project yet, and it might not even be on the drawing board as well. There are also speculations that developers Maxis and The Sims Studio will further concentrate on providing more content for the current game instead.

The studio is currently readying things up for the release of the next DLC called "City Living" next month. Currently, a Halloween-themed add-on pack and the "Day of the Dead" challenge is available.

The "City Living" expansion pack will allow the Sims characters to move in a coastal town named San Myshuno for a fresh start. The game characters will need to get themselves an apartment in order to have a place to stay. Players can buy a cheap and ordinary place to start and upgrade it as they move along. New careers will also be available. Now, a Sim can become a politician, a critic, or someone in the realm of social media.

The game's description reads: "Take your Sims to the city and explore everything it has to offer, from bustling action outside to unique situations that come only with apartment living. Fulfill your Sims' dreams in the diverse city of San Myshuno, and discover new neighborhoods and festivals.  Experience the charm and challenges that come with your Sims' first apartment, then work your way up the penthouse of your Sims' dreams."

Meanwhile, the "Day of Dead" challenge started last Oct. 4, and it will end on Nov. 4. The Halloween-themed festivity, which lasts a whole month, will allow the Sims characters to collect and complete a 10-piece "Sugar Skull" collection, which even has its own custom display case.

Once the collection is complete, the characters will have an opportunity to gain an extra interaction with the Grim Reaper, and they can request an extra Sim's life. To initiate the challenge, an interaction with Jasmin Holiday, a returning non-playable character in the game, is needed.

"The Sims 4 City Living" DLC will be available starting Nov. 3, while the "Day of the Dead" event is ongoing, and it will run until Nov. 4.
