The rumors are rife that Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) is preparing for the launch of "The Sims 5," although the game studio has yet to make an official announcement regarding a new "Sims" title. Considering the huge success of the previous "Sims" installments, it will not be surprising if "The Sims 5" will eventually become a reality, but the fans should not expect that it would arrive soon. If ever, the game might be around in 2020.

According to the latest rumors, EA might be able to release "The Sims 5" as early as 2019, with the official confirmation from the studio expected this year. However, some people have doubts if EA can proceed with a brand-new "Sims" game, especially since the studio is still providing support for "The Sims 4" with more expansion packs expected this year. Furthermore, the public has huge expectations for "The Sims 5," and it would be difficult for EA to release a huge video game within a short period of time, unless the studio has already been working on this project for a while.

The most probably guess for "The Sims 5" release date is sometime in 2020. Prior to the game's launch, it is expected that EA will formally announce the new "Sims" title next year, given that "The Sims 4" was confirmed to the public in May 2013 and arrived in the market in September 2014. EA could also use another four to five years to develop "The Sims 5," so a 2020 release sounds fair.

As for the possible features of "The Sims 5," it is speculated that the game will inject more realistic relationship building among Sims, which is comparable to how actual people interact in their daily lives. The players can also expect real-life situations being presented in the game in which the Sims can react to in the most realistic way possibe. Thus, there is more work to be done in creating the personal character of each Sim. Of course, there will be a handful of improvements in graphics to create a more life-like rendering of households and communities.
