"The Swords of Ditto," the compact action role-playing game (RPG) developed by onebitbeyond and published by Devolver Digital, is scheduled to arrive on April 24 for personal computer (PC) and PlayStation 4.

Jonathan Biddle, the designer of the game, announced the news via PlayStation blog on March 5. Biddle said that "The Swords of Ditto" is a "micro-adventure" as in each adventure, players will experience a new version of the game world. The game's story revolves around the land of Ditto which has been under the control of the nefarious Mormo. Players are tasked to undergo a three-day adventure wherein they have to face a series of challenges with the aim of taking her down in the end with the aid of the mystical Sword of Ditto. Players can choose to face her right away or gather weapons and items, level up the sword and destroy her anchors to weaken her.

According to the Steam page of the upcoming game, "The Swords of Ditto" features unique adventures that are linked together as they share the same binding heroic legacy and a choice for either solo or cooperative gameplay (co-op) adventure. Moreover, the game features non-traditional weapons like vinyl record frisbee, magic golf club and colossal foot for players to use in defeating Mormo and her minions aside from the mystical sword.

Biddle said that the most compelling feature of the game is the fact that death is a means to enter a new chapter and adventure. If players fail to defeat Mormo, a new hero will rise 100 years later for players to play, utilizing the same sword of its predecessor (which means that all the experience, power and upgrades made in the previous run will remain in the sword).
