'The Unit' news: How teams were formed for 'My Turn' music video

The first ever teaser of the idol rebooting show "The Unit" took the form of a music video for their song "My Turn," showcasing the dozens of singers who have entered the program. From the layout of the music video, fans can probably notice how they were all divided into groups.

The latest episode of the show featured all of the contestants meeting each other after having finished their first mission. The contestants were divided amongst themselves by the number of boots they had received during their auditions. After all of them had gathered, the show's host and mentor Rain appeared to tell them that some contestants who received zero boots would also be participating after having passed the consolation round.

Rain then announced that their first mission, which was for them to become the main characters of the "My Turn" music video for the program.

They had to form teams made up of nine members, and the winning team from the boys and the girls would become the main characters for the "My Turn" music video. The teams were: The Yellow Unit, the White Unit, Black Unit, Red Unit, Green Unit, Orange Unit, and Blue Unit.

After the announcement, HOTSHOT member Timoteo immediately went to recruit the members for his team, and ended up recruiting BIGSTAR member Feeldog, Boyfriend member Donghyun, Kanto, and 100% member Rockhyun. His team was made up of contestants who received six or super boots.

The female participants were also given the same challenge, Dal Shabet member Serri teamed up with former SPICA member Yang Ji Won, while Melody Day member Yoomin teamed up with DIA member Yebin and SONAMOO member Euijin.

While the teams that won were not yet announced in the episode, the "My Turn" music video was already released back in October, revealing which teams that won. The Red Units from both the boys and the girls were chosen to be the center groups for the music video.

For the girls, the White Unit consisted of Lee Suji, Haein, Jiwon, Gaeul, Euna Kim, Chaesol, Janey, and Brave Girls member Yujeong. The Yellow Unit was made up of members Yena, Eunbyeol, Taee, Yujeong, Heejin, Kang Min Hee, Eune, Sebin, and Hanbi. The Blue Unit was made up of Sandy, JOO, Yuji, Yeseul, Soya, Kwon Ha Seo, Lena, Lucky, and Shin Ji Hoon.

The Black Unit was made up of Dal Shabet member Serri, Nari, Woohee, LABOUM member Yujeong, former SPICA member Yang Ji Won, Park Ji Won, ZN, DaNa, and Haena. The Green unit was made up of I, Yoonjo, NC.A, Hyeyeon, Saebyeol, Chaewon, Semmi, Genie, and Viva. The Orange Unit was made up of Lee Hyun Joo, Seol Ha Yoon, Kim, former TinyG member Mint, Dabin, Hyosun, Bomi, former T-Ara member Areum, and Lee Ju Hyun.

The Red Unit of the girls, who served as the center group in the music video, was made up of SONAMOO member Euijin, Yeoeun, Somyi, Han Seo In, Lee Bo Lim, Eunji, Chahee, Yoomin, and Yebin.

From the boys, the White Unit was made up of Jungha, MADTOWN member Daewon, Jian, Suhyun, Dongmyung, Yonghoon, Harin, Cya, and Kanghyun. The Yellow Unit was made up of Hangyul, Sunghak, Sungjun, Gunmin, Boys' Republic member Suwoong, Raehwan, Seongho, Sejun, and Jeup. The Blue Unit was made up of Seyong, Jude, Euijin, OneJunn, Gunwoo, Keyongha, Sebin, Giseok, and Junghoon.

The Black Unit was made up of P.K., A.C.E member Jun, Chan, Rayoon, Taeeun, Jungsang, former Day6 member Lim Jun Hyeok, and Jin. The Green Unit was made up of U-KISS member Jun, Topp Dogg member B-Joo, Hojoon, Taeo, Heedo, Jin.O, Lex, Seungjin, and Junghee. The Orange Unit was made up of Taeho, former Cross Gene member Casper, Chaejin, Z-UK, JunQ, Ungjae, Hyukjin, Marco, and Lee Jung Ha.

Finally, the Red Unit of the boys was made up of IM member Kijoong, BIGSTAR member Feeldog, 100% member Rockhyun, HOTSHOT members Hojeong and Timoteo, MADTOWN member Lee Geon, Kanto, and former SM Rookies member Ji Han Sol.

"The Unit" airs Saturdays at 9:15 p.m. KST/9:15 a.m. EST on KBS2.
