Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff), the feared vampire hunter, has finally arrived in Mystic Falls and she will come face-to-face with none other than a Salvatore vampire in the upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries."

In "This Woman's Work," CarterMatt reports that it will be up to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to save those he loves from the hands of the merciless predator. Rayna is on the loose, and she has no qualms about killing any vampire who crosses her path. When Enzo (Michael Malarkey) tricks Damon into helping him hunt down Rayna, the latter will be horrified to learn that he has inadvertently led her to the others.

In the promo, Damon is seen facing Rayna by himself and attempting to kill her once and for all. This will be no easy task for him, as the hunter has centuries of practice. Rayna will not stop until every vampire in town is dead by her hands. For Damon, this will be his motivation to stop her from killing those he holds dear to him. Unfortunately, the teaser suggests that he is just not strong enough to pit with Rayna. Will Damon's life be in danger?

Elsewhere, Caroline (Candice King) fears for her life and those of the twins she is carrying in her womb. Her supernatural pregnancy continues to give her pain. With more and more complications cropping up, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) will have no choice but to take "extreme measures" to save her and the babies. Now more than ever, Caroline wants to deliver Alaric (Matt Davis) and Jo's (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) witch children safely. Will she be able to?

In her interview with Access Hollywood back in December, executive producer Caroline Dries shared that Caroline's pregnancy would not be easy. Being saddled with a responsibility she did not ask for was something the blonde vampire was not prepared to bear. The fact that Stefan was so focused on killing Julian (Todd Lasance) also meant she had to endure the predicament alone.

"She going through sort of like the routine of being a pregnant lady... she's literally carrying around like Alaric's hopes and dreams inside of her, and so the burden of that — even though she's providing such a beautiful gift — the burden of her internally is like, 'I don't know what I'm doing. I didn't ask for this, this is not part of my life plan, and she can't exactly talk to him about it,'" Dries said.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
