Caroline's (Candice King) fate is now intertwined with the witch twins she is carrying in her womb in the upcoming episode of the hit The CW series "The Vampire Diaries."

In "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," CarterMatt reports that the blonde vampire will be shifting her priorities in favor of Alaric's (Matt Davis) children with Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe). Last episode, Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) finally revealed that the Gemini coven's last set of twins did not die with the witch. Through a powerful spell, they managed to transfer them to Caroline, who would now bear the babies until they were born.

At first, Caroline's pregnancy tests came out negative. But Valerie revealed that the Gemini coven cloaked the babies to protect them from danger. This explained why she was so protective of Caroline, especially after Beau (Jaiden Kaine) attacked her. Valerie even staked him and made the vampire invisible so they could make their escape. With babies on the way, Caroline's future with Stefan (Paul Wesley) has become unsure. Will they still have their happily ever after?

Meanwhile, speculations are rife that Jo will once again be resurrected. She originally died in the season 6 finale when her brother Kai (Chris Wood) killed her during her wedding ceremony. She was brought to life a few episodes ago, thanks to the Phoenix Stone, but still did not survive for long. However, many believe that since she died with vampire blood in her system, she would return from the dead a second time.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, O'Keefe almost confirmed that her character would indeed comeback to Mystic Falls.

"That's a Julie Plec question, I think. But I'm not afraid to tell you many, many people on the interwebs, as I call it, have pointed out to me that vampire blood did go in my mouth before I passed away. So..."
