The Top 5 artists left in the eighth season of "The Voice" have been revealed.

After the remaining six contestants from last week's elimination sang their entries for the Performance Night on Monday, the first four names to advance to next week's competition were announced.

"The Voice" host Carson Daly announced that Team Pharell William's Sawyer Fredericks was the first contestant who earned one of the Top 5 slots. Fredericks performed Daisy May Erlewine's "Shine On" and Al Green's "Take Me to the River." The announcement did not come as a surprise since both of his songs both reached the top of the iTunes chart.

Then, Meghan Linsey of Team Blake Sheldon was called as the second member of the coveted Top 5. Her version of "Amazing Grace" also reached the top of the iTunes chart, and she also performed James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues."

After that, Daly announced that Koryn Hawthorne from Team Pharell also advanced to the semifinals after nailing her rendition of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts" and Aerosmith's "Dream On." Team Adam Levine's sole contestant Joshua Davis was the next contestant to advance in the competition after performing "In My Life" by the Beatles and U2's "Desire."

That left India Carney and Kimberly Nichole, both contestants from Team Christina Aguilera, to appeal to the public's Twitter votes to get the final remaining slot in the competition. During the Elimination Night, Carney sang Pink's chart-topping song "Perfect" while Nichole performed the alternative rock number "Seven Nation Army" from The White Stripes.

In the end, the public chose Carney to give the Instant Save vote and advance to the next round of "The Voice" season 8.

But aside from the naming of the Top 5 artists this season, "The Voice" alums also performed during the Week 5 Elimination Night, including season 5's Jacquie Lee, season 3's Avery Wilson, season 1's Vicci Martinez, as well as season 7's champ Craig Wayne Boyd.

"The Voice" season 8 airs every Mondays on NBC.
