"The Voice" season 8 aired its finale last Tuesday, with 16-year old Sawyer Fredericks crowned as the winner and Meghan Linsey as the runner-up. Where winners of "American Idol" move on to producing hit albums and going on worldwide tours, a new report from Enstarz explains that Fredericks prefers to stay at home at his family's farm. According to the report, the singer moved back to his home at the Windrake Farm in Fultonville, New York right after completing his press tour for the show.

Fredericks stated during an interview with Yahoo! Music that there wasn't a time he didn't miss home. He also explained how excited he was even just to play again with Tanner, a chocolate Labrador retriever and his favorite pet. He also lives with one other dog, 20 farm cows, 14 chickens, and one donkey. 

When asked why he isn't trading the quiet life for the glamour of the city, Fredericks explained, "It's just not really my thing. I would not move to L.A.; I love my home back on the farm. I would visit L.A., but it would never be my home. I can take trips and stay in hotels for a while, but I always want to have a farm to come back to." 

He also explained that he was happy to go back to his winter and summer chores, which involve barn work, supervising the cows on the pasture, and forking through stacks of hay. 

However, just because the singer is going back to his old routine in the farm doesn't mean he won't be focusing on his music career, especially after the success he's had with "The Voice." According to Yahoo! Music, he will be working on his first studio album, which will feature his winning piece "Please," penned by the singer's idol Ray LaMontagne. 

Fredericks released an independent album "Out My Window" back in 2013 and it is possible that he will be re-polishing some of the tracks so they may be featured in his first studio project.
