Every time coaches have to make a cut in their roster of artists under their wings, there is always some sort of talk behind it. Did the coaches make the right decision? Did the contestant really deserve to get the spot?

In the results show this week, everyone was in agreement that the top 12 finalists really are deserving of moving up the ladder. Earlier in the week, the top 20 finalists had to put on the best performance of their lives during the two-night live playoff performance episodes. Come the results show, the coaches can only take in 12 contestants, three for each coach.

Coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams had a tough time making the cut. From 5 contestants, they now have to send two home. America voted for the top two finalists that will advance for each team, while the coaches have to pick only one of the remaining three.

Under Team Blake, America voted for Corey Kent White and Meghan Linsey to make it to the top two for the team. Blake had to choose amongst Sarah Potenza, Brooke Adee and Hannah Kirby. Blake chose Hannah because of her pitch-perfect performance.

Over at Team Xtina, Kimberly Nichole and India Carney made the top two through the votes. Christina then had to choose from Sonic, Lexi Davila and Rob Taylor. At the end, she chose Rob.

Team Pharrell's top two were Sawyer Fredericks and Mia Z. The three contestants left were Caitlin Caporale, Lowell Oakley and Koryn Hawthorne. Pharrell chose to save Koryn.

Last but not least, Deanna Johnson and Joshua David made the top two for Team Adam. With talented artists like Tonya Boyd-Cannon, Brian Johnson and Nathan Hermida left to choose from, Adam went with this gut and chose Brian.

"The Voice" Season 8 will air its two-hour final rounds on Monday for another round of live performances from the top 12 finalists. Tune into NBC on April 13 at 8 p.m.
