While plans about it have not been discussed, fans of the zombie hit series "The Walking Dead" (TWD) should be ecstatic to know that actor Norman Reedus, who plays the badass, crossbow-yielding Daryl Dixon, would be very much interested in a spin-off about the character and his brother, Merle.

Reedus pleased fans on Twitter when he answered a query from a fan about a possible TWD spin-off that will focus on Daryl and Merle (Michael Rooker) once the show ends.

Reedus posted his response on Twitter, which stated: "that sounds super fun."

This is not the first time that someone suggested a spin-off of TWD with Reedus' character as the main man.

In fact, both Daryl and Merle have been subjects of prequel stories and spin-offs, considering the brothers are not characters from the original comic book series and that they also have their own spin-off in TWD video game.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Reedus revealed that he and TWD co-star Melissa McBride, who played Carol Peletier, had joked on set about having their own spin-off where their characters are "living in Central Park, and all the squirrels are going missing so Bloomberg's putting out announcements that the squirrels are disappearing."

Reedus even mentioned that their spin-off would have a theme song, which would have the lyrics "Carol is sterile and Daryl is feral/a match made in hell."

If a Daryl spin-off would be true in the near future, it will surely be a reason for utter happiness for the millions of fans of both Reedus and Daryl.

Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" fans should see more of Daryl Dixon when the show returns with fresh episodes on AMC on Oct. 11.

If zombies and the action in TWD are not enough, the show also has its spin-off, "Fear The Walking Dead," which just aired recently.
