'The Walking Dead' season 6 spoilers, plot news: Rick brings the fight to Negan

"The Walking Dead" season 6 episode 12 will see Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) lead the people of Alexandria in a fight against the Saviors and their leader, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). However, clips from the official promo trailer for the episode show that not everyone is likely to agree with Rick's plan.

There is a quick shot of Jesus (Tom payne) glancing at Glenn (Steven Yeun) in the midst of Rick's speech, hinting at some kind of doubt or worry. This is further emphasized by the fact that in the comics Glenn dies when Negan and his Saviors get hold of Rick and his companions.

More troubling, however, is the look on Morgan's (Lennie James) face when he realizes that Rick's plan involves invading a different community and potentially killing everyone there. Morgan has, on numerous occasions this past season, expressed his distaste for murder.

Rick also points out that the plan to invade the Savior's home is inevitable given that these Saviors may sooner or later discover the Alexandria Safe-Zone and do to them what was done to the Hilltop Colony. It was explained in the previous episode that the Hilltop's economy has been on a decline due to the Saviors taking all their resources.

The rest of the trailer showcases the team taking their vehicles to invade the Savior's hideout, which in the comic books is known as the Sanctuary. There is even a shot of Rick and the team looking over a makeshift map as they plan their method of attack.

However, the ending of the trailer showcases Rick and the group entering an empty building, holding their weapons at the ready. Not a single member of the Saviors or of Negan himself has been revealed in the trailer, indicating that Rick's plan may backfire horribly for them.

"The Walking Dead" season 6 episode 12, "Not Tomorrow Yet," will air this March 6.
