Danger will not cease for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group, based on the official midseason premiere trailer of "The Walking Dead" season 6.

In the latest promo video shared by AMC, Rick and his son Carl are seen carefully reaching for each other's hand while the other survivors are surrounded by a herd of the walkers.

"I thought living behind these walls was possible. I was wrong," Rick said in a voice over.

The next sequences in the video show the group defending themselves from the attack of the undead, as well as the introduction of another ruthless character in the second part of the season.

Although Jeffrey Dean Morgan's villainous character Negan is not seen in the trailer, a portion of the trailer already shows that he can be as heartless as his comic book counterpart. The actions of his men when they stopped the group from entering his property is worrisome.

It could mean that the lives of Rick's group will be more at stake now that Negan had become a part of the series.

The new trailer also shows a glimpse of Glenn's (Steven Yeun) heroic attempt to kill as many walkers as he can. But this could also cost him his life.

Earlier in season 6, viewers of the popular post-apocalyptic thriller were devastated when they thought that the walkers feasted on Glenn when he was dragged by Nicholas (Michael Traynor), who shot himself. But he reemerged in the penultimate episode of the midseason, revealing that he managed to crawl his way out of danger.

Glen's second life could be short-lived in the other half of the season though because his pregnant girlfriend Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is seen screaming his name in despair in the trailer.

The midseason premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 6 is titled "No Way Out."  It will air on AMC on Feb. 14.
