'Walking Dead' season 6 plot: Current season to closely follow comic book's storyline?

As the saga of the daylight walkers and the human survivors continue, it is rumored that "The Walking Dead" season 6's story will continue to follow the plot of the comic books.

If this is to happen, then the latter part of the season will see some of the characters getting serious damage, such as Carl getting an eye injury and may even fall into a coma.

According to Master Herald, fans of the series noticed that the new season of "The Walking Dead" dovetails closely with what happened to the characters in the original story adaptation. Much like in the books, the past episodes of the new season saw some scenes straight out of the comics, such as Rick's entourage leaving their group's safe house, as well as Sam having to call out to his mother.

The industry follower believes that if the story continues at this point, some episodes, particularly in the latter part of season 6, will have fans see Carl sustain damage in his eye and fall into a coma. In addition, some characters might also make an exit at this point, like Jessie getting killed and Deanna putting her life on the line in attempting to distract the infected walkers.

The new season may see these stories unfold, since the original adaptation also depicted the said story developments.

Meanwhile, another speculation that cropped up is that so long as the story adaptations of "The Walking Dead" closely follow one another, IBTimes hopes to see some characters who were already fleshed out in the comic books appear on the show.

The series follower mentioned that from the row of saviors that appeared in the books, the season episodes in the TV adaptation already introduced Cam, Dwight, Sherry, and Wade. In addition to these four characters, other saviors were also in the books – Amber, Carson, Mark, and Tara.
