Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam) appears to be ready to atone for his past mistakes in the upcoming episode of AMC's horror drama "The Walking Dead."

In "JSS," Wetpaint reports that the priest has seen "the err of his ways" and is now ready to help Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and the rest of the Alexandrians in their fight for survival against the undead. In the promo released by AMC, Stokes can be seen talking to Grimes while the latter is taking baby Judith out for a walk.

He admits his mistakes for pushing them away when the rest of the group tried to reach out to him in the past. In season 5, he even told Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) that not one of them could be trusted. But the vicar realizes that he is now ready to learn and tells Grime how sorry he is for judging them harshly.

While Stokes seems sincere with his apologies, Grimes is not so forgiving. He does not trust the "traitor" and based on past experiences, he has a right to. Will the rest of the Alexandrians accept Stokes' offer to help or will their enmity keep possible reconciliations at bay?

Meanwhile, Catermatt reports that Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), and the rest of the Alexandrians will be facing a new threat. Things may seem to be finally normalizing, but the trouble is far from over. A new problem will reportedly arise and change everything in the Safe-Zone.

According to Wetpaint, Reddit users claim that the episode 2 title "JSS" stands for "Just Stay Still," a phrase reportedly used by Wolves in the season 5 finale. The entertainment publication also speculates that this signals the return of the Wolves in the current season. They will apparently reappear in the upcoming installment by launching an attack on Alexandrians. Is this the new hurdle mentioned in the official synopsis?

"The Walking Dead" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
