Despite this, rumors of the film's plot remain prevalent.

According to a report from Yibada, there is an ongoing rumor that Daenerys Targaryen may go mad like her father, Aerys, and go on a violent rampage as she tries to win back the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. The report points out she will let go of all logic and mercy and unleash destruction on the lands.

This was also hinted in "Game of Thrones," the television series based off the books. In the latter seasons Daenerys had turned to violence in order to gain respect and loyalty, burning her enemies in order to prove her power. However, fans speculate it is unlikely she will become as demented as her father was.

It is also pointed out that another popular rumor is she will marry Tyrion Lannister. In the books, the two have yet to meet unlike how Tyrion is Daenerys' political advisor in the show. Their relationship in the show might blossom much later in the books and it is possible that it will finally take place during "The Winds of Winter."

A report from The Verge revealed that analyst and theorist Brynden B. Fish stated that it is likely the book will release by early 2017 based on the writing speed of George R.R. Martin, which is often marked by rewriting and editing phases to ensure his books meet the high standards he is known for. This release date will mean the book will come out prior to the premiere of "Game of Thrones" season 7, which is scheduled for a summer 2017 release.
