According to speculations, "Blood and Wine," the second story expansion for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" was delayed. Recent leaks allegedly confirm that the new DLC may come out in the middle of the year.

In a report by GameZone, details that were said to have come from insiders listed down the major details of the upcoming "Blood and Wine" expansion for the game. According to the industry follower, the supposed leak came from an original post on game developer CD Projekt Red's online forum, which has already been deleted.

Reportedly, "Blood and Wine" will launch in the middle of the year, June at the earliest. The leak mentioned how the development team plans to finish the DLC by April or early May but doesn't want the expansion to release early, as they supposedly want fans to miss new content in the "The Witcher" franchise.

Meanwhile, aside from the projected release date, the supposed leak also detailed how "Blood and Wine" will look for "The Witcher 3" players. The details dovetailed with other speculations from observers like Crossmap, which said that the new expansion will add at least 20 hours' worth of additional gameplay for players.

Location-wise, the upcoming DLC will center on the region of Toussaint. The industry observer also said that some characters will be making a comeback, such as the Duchess of Toussaint Anna Henrietta and evil sorcerer Vilgefortz. Allegedly, there will also be additional new enemies for players to vanquish.

"The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" is looking to be a massive expansion, given that it is the climax of main protagonist Geralt's story. According to iDigitalTimes, the upcoming DLC will close the curtain on Geralt's journey, as developer CD Projekt Red will set its sights on another title, "Cyberpunk 2077."
