"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will receive its second and final DLC expansion, "Blood and Wine," before the end of the second quarter of the year, reports Ecumenical News. This would mean that at the latest, "Blood and Wine" would launch by June, although there is the possibility of it launching as soon as late April or May.

Fans speculate that the June release window is more likely, given the scope of the DLC's content, which is said to be nearly twice the size of the "Hearts of Stone" DLC expansion. "Blood and Wine" is expected to offer approximately 20 hours-long of content and will take place in Toussaint, a colorful land that will set itself apart from the war-driven narrative of the main game.

Along with new locations come new quests, new weapons and new features. According to reports, some of these new features include new armor color changes; a Bone Sword weapon; reportedly four new combat, alchemy and sign skills while the general skills list will increase by 12. There will also be three new skill slots and one new Mutagen slot.

It is stated that Toussaint is a colorful and peaceful land but riddled with a dark and dangerous secret. Its main plot remains a mystery, although it is required that players be at least level 40 before the area can be explored as the quests and monsters are designed with the highest level of challenge in mind.

According to the report, "Blood and Wine" will also be the last entry in the main franchise and that if any other game were to follow, they would not bear the name "The Witcher" given that the narrative of Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer are now over. However, a fourth game may still be released in the future, albeit with a new protagonist and title.
