Gillian Anderson posts the ultimate throwback on Twitter, reminiscent of the revival of the hit science-fiction series "The X-Files."

Captioned "Just like old times, only younger," the post shows a side-by-side photo of her goofing around, probably on "The X-Files" set, with chopsticks on her nose and ears while holding her cellular phone.

Fans could not help but gush about Anderson's timeless look, which has been gracing the small screens for 24 years. The original series ran from 1993 to 2002 and received a revival four years later.

"The X-Files" was last seen with new episodes in the six-part season 10, which ended in February 2016. After a two-year hiatus, Anderson will reprise her role as Special Agent Dana Scully for season 11, which will be a bit longer with 10 episodes.

In the first trailer shown at the New York Comic Con, Scully, together with her former lover and fellow agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), will try to find their long-lost son William in the midst of an Alien takeover. The over two-minute teaser shows Scully asking for help from a person she does not trust, but the former couple will do everything to get their son back.

Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), the wicked Smoking Man (William B. Davis), Melvin Frohike (Tom Braidwood), John Fitzgerald Byers (Bruce Harwood) and Richard "Ringo" Langly (Dean Haglund) will also return for the next season.

It has been announced earlier that Haley Joel Osment from "The Sixth Sense" will appear in a mysterious Skinner episode.

At the New York Comic Con last month, the 49-year-old actress also announced that season 11 will be her last for the iconic series. She explained that her return for the upcoming season is her way of showing service to the show's fans. "It felt like it wasn't over. It didn't feel like we necessarily deliver everything the fans were expecting of us last time, and so it was that," she said.

"The X-Files" season 11 will premiere on FOX sometime in 2018.
