It seems that a fan favorite character is set for a return down the line. "The Young and the Restless" spoilers indicate that there are some clues that Adam Newman may be resurfacing in Genoa City.

The other soap operas are starting to see a ratings spike due to the return of many beloved characters. It only makes sense for "The Young and the Restless" to follow suit with a return of a favorite character. This could only mean that Adam is heading back to town.

Whether Michael Muhney will come back to the role or not remains to be seen, but Adam is needed on canvas. The ongoing feud between Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) will blow out of proportion even more, as the Newman patriarch will deliver a final blow that could crush his son. Victor would provide the set up for Adam's return by revealing Christian's (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) true paternity.

Naturally, Nick will blow his top off as Victor and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) have been lying to him all along. However, this big reveal would have as much of an impact without Adam around. It definitely will bring some drama, but things will eventually blow over. Nick will decide that he would not let it affect his relationship with Christian.

When Adam reappears, that is where everything will change. Nick and Chelsea recently had a conversation about how their sons would be raised as brothers. Unbeknownst to Nick, they really are brothers. When Adam returns, he might choose to raise Christian.

Nick and Chelsea's relationship could also affect Adam. Adam might try to take Christian away from Nick out of spite. Victor will most definitely be pulling the strings in this situation. He will do everything to manipulate the situation and bring Adam towards the result that he wants. A custody battle between the brothers might result in this.

Other than the feud between the Newmans, "The Young and the Restless" spoilers reveal that the Abbotts will also face some issues of their own, and the ongoing feud between Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Graham (Max Shippee) is placed front and center. Ashley is determined to look into Myrna's (Marcia Dodd) background. She hopes she could know more about Myrna's days in Genoa City.

If she manages to be successful, then she can find out why Graham is manipulating Dina (Marla Adams). Rabi (Abhi Sinha) will help Ashley gather as much information as they can, but they may soon regret it.

Then again, nothing could stop Graham's scheme anyway. Myrna is there to keep Graham on track with his plan, so he will only move ahead. Ravi and Ashley's information could put the family on the rocks. Is Graham actually the son of Brent Davis? If he is, Ashley could confront Graham about the games he is playing. He will eventually reveal the whole story at some point.

Graham can maintain that his family suffered, so Dina and her family should pay. But of course, fans can expect an explosive confrontation between Ashley and Graham soon. Regardless, when the truth will come out, things will get incredibly messy.

Ashley will be devastated when she and everyone else learn that she is not John's biological daughter. Abby (Melissa Ordway) will also be as devastated, and she will deal with the fact that she is not a true Abbott. Other family members that Ashley left in the dark will also feel blindsided.

There is a chance that Abby will lash out at her mother and at Victor for their lies. When Victor sees how upset Abby is about the truth, then Graham may have made himself a dangerous enemy. Victor is on Dina's side after all, so he could help her turn the tables on Graham.

"The Young and the Restless" airs Mondays to Fridays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
