The end of a relationship is nigh in the upcoming episodes of "The Young and the Restless." Spoilers reveal that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) are inevitably breaking up.

This was all because of the corporate war going on between Jabot and Brash & Sassy. Billy has already betrayed her trust, so it is only a matter of time until they start going on their separate ways. Fans know that things are going to be anything but smooth sailing when it comes to the two of them, and some might even wonder why they decided to get together in the first place.

As fans can recall, Phyllis felt estranged from Jack (Peter Bergman), who is one of her soul mates. After their marriage had fallen, she needed someone and she thought she had found that in Billy. Over time, she was convinced that he was the new love of her life. Billy, on the other hand, was waiting for Victoria to come back to him again. He waited throughout her mood swings and his own, until he was drawn to Phyllis. Their personalities kept them from feeling complete unless they had someone in their lives telling them what to do.

Deep down, Billy knows that Victoria is the one, his true soul mate. He may be trying to destroy his relationship with Phyllis subconsciously. Should he succeed in breaking up, it would leave him available to Victoria and their children. This leaves Phyllis out in the cold. Even though a part of Jack's heart will always be hers, he does not have plans of taking her back again.

Speaking of Billy, more "The Young and the Restless" spoilers reveal that Jill (Jess Walton) is back in town. With her back, Billy and Cane (Daniel Goddard) are in for some scolding. Billy's actions at work plus Cane's divorce from Lily (Christel Khalil) and his budding family with Juliet (Laur Allen) will have Jill ripping into the two boys. Fans know that Jill had a heart attack earlier this year, which showed her vulnerable side.

She will rip into Billy for trying to attack the company his father founded when he stole Dina's (Marla Adams) password and used Phyllis' laptop to download business plans. He did it again even though Victoria told him not to the second time.

Cane's connection with Juliet cost his job and the end of his marriage to Lily, so that should get him an earful. Like his father Colin (Tristan Rogers), Jill will also size up Juliet, but unlike him, she will not be swayed by her current condition. Jill will let Juliet know what she will expect of her from now on. Jill will rip into him, telling him about how he destroyed his marriage and inflicted some damage on the twins. Yet, since Cane is in need of a job, she may give him one at Chancellor. Billy may also be in need of work soon and if he does not go to jail, Jill will likely force him to team up with Cane at Chancellor as well.

"The Young and the Restless" airs Mondays to Fridays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
