Just when the Newmans thought they no longer had any more fires to put out, another one is about to start. "The Young and the Restless" spoilers hint that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is on the verge of serving some time behind bars.

It turns out that Nikki has been hiding a secret with criminal consequences, and it seems like it is time to pay her dues. It appears that she is behind the account irregularities, so the rest of the Newman clan will try to find a way to get her out of this mess. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will try and see what she can do to help. She will put together a plan, but it will likely be unsuccessful. J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) is involved in this investigation, which complicates things.

Victoria might use their personal connection as a way of trying to get J.T. to look the other way when it comes to Nikki. Unfortunately, Christine (Lauralee Bell) may not be so willing. In fact, she wants to take Victor (Eric Braeden) and the empire he built down once and for all. While J.T. might be hit with second thoughts, Christine will do anything and everything she can to get justice. This leaves Victor to make the ultimate decision. He could either let Nikki suffer or save her.

The head of the Newman family may not be on good terms with Nikki, but of course, he can only resist her for so long. The two have always gone back together in the end and this will be no different. Victor will always care about Nikki and their connection will be hard to break.

Victor will make that decision come next week. He will also realize that some personal changes will have to be made too. He will decide to put his family first before anything else, although that lesson should have been learned from the get-go. Oh well, it is like this in the soap world.

Should Christine decide to take Nikki in, prison will not only take its toll on her, but it will also further damage the reputation of the Newmans. Plus, her grandchildren obviously do not want to see her don a prison uniform.

It is more than likely that Victor will come to the rescue. If and when he does, he can either make all of this go away or he could at least take the fall for her. After that happens, Nikki will open up to Nick (Joshua Morrow), perhaps telling him how Victor saved her and how moved she is.

"The Young and the Restless" airs Mondays to Fridays, 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
