After giving up their time slot for the US Presidential Elections this week, "This Is Us" will return next week to reveal more secrets about the Pearson family.

In the episode titled "The Best Washing Machine in the World," fans of the NBC family dramedy will finally learn the truth about Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Kevin's (Justin Hartley) estrangement. The adoptive brothers do not exactly have a close relationship as they grow up, but the reason for their awkward relationship was not explained in the previous episodes.

In an interview with ET Online, Hartley revealed that Kevin and Randall has a sibling rivalry due to the kind of relationship that Randall had with their mother Rebecca (Mandy Moore) while growing up. "Sometimes things are gravy and sometimes not so much. And you get to see a family working out their history, working out their past and coming to some kind of understanding," the actor said.

The upcoming episode will also reveal a marital problem between Rebecca and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia). According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode, Rebecca will finally go back to work after several years of staying at home. But her new career move will put a strain on the couple's relationship.

TV Guide revealed the full synopsis for the upcoming episode, which reads: "Randall and Kevin's rocky relationship is explained; William unexpectedly reveals a secret to Beth; and Kate feels conflicted after Toby strays from his diet regimen. Elsewhere, Rebecca and Jack acknowledge the growing distance between them."

Fans of the series are also expecting to see a significant time jump in the next episodes of "This Is Us," since the Pearson siblings will reportedly become teenagers in the show. This means that some of the characters will have to wear prosthetics to emphasize the time jump.

The next episode of "This Is Us" is slated to air on NBC on Thursday, Nov. 15.
