'Thor 3' news: Chris Hemsworth's last movie as Thor, new cast set to emerge? Loki's head ripped off?

"Thor 3" will definitely happen, but what happens in the sequel is the question. The "Thor" movie franchise has been extremely successful. But things will change in the next film, according to rumors and speculations.

Remember in "Thor: The Dark World" when Thor turned down ruling Asgard and giving Loki the power to rule? Well, he didn't know he was talking to Loki, who disguised himself as Odin. This begs the questions, what happened to Odin? And what is Thor to do now?

According to Inquisitr, this might just be Chris Hemsworth's last movie as Thor because a female Thor will take his place. Apparently, Thor's decision to turn down ruling Asgard had more implications, like adding a new set of cast members in "Thor 3."

The third movie is rumored to be titled "Ragnarok," and a report by Movie Pilot describes how Loki will die in the movie.

"Essentially, 'Thor 3 Ragnarok' sees Loki and the Fire demon Surtur march on Asgard. Thor manages to fight them off, but loses his famous hammer Mjolnir. Once he has dealt with the fire demon and his brother, however, he does not hesitate in dealing him once and for all – Thor rips his brother's head off," said Movie Pilot.

Where is Odin in all this? According to rumors, Odin could have changed his mind about Thor being the worthy one to hold the hammer Mjolnir after he turned down the throne of Asgard. Thor will spend a lot of time with Jane Foster and could very well be a mortal as Odin will strip him off his powers. Loki's taking the throne will mark the end of Asgard.

Other rumors about "Thor 3" include Sif taking the place of Thor, while he spends time on earth with Jane. Natalie Portman may not be in the sequel and the new cast to join Thor in "Ragnarok" might be Valkyrie, Ulik, Beta Ray Bill, Mangog, The Executioner, and The Enchantress, says Inquisitr.
