'Thor 3 Ragnarok' plot spoilers: Jamie Alexander to reprise role as Lady Sif

Thor: Ragnarok Marvel Studios

Even though the Norse god of thunder is two long years away from smashing into the silver screen with "Thor: Ragnarok," there are already titbits of info about the upcoming Marvel film with regard to the people who will be in front and off the camera.

In an interview with MTV during the San Diego Comic-Con, actress Jamie Alexander confirmed that she will reprise her role in the third Thor-centric film as Lady Sif.

When asked about reprising her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actress did not think twice and said "yes." However, she did not give much insight as to how big her role will be in the film and it seems like it is too early for her to actually have an idea.

"I don't know the answer to that question, but I know I'm in it," Alexander simply answered.

The actress will also be busy with solving tattoo-related mysteries in NBC's new series "Blindspot" as Jane Doe.

There are no concrete details about the upcoming Thor movie but there are rumors going around. Recently, a rumor surfaced about Kenneth Branagh, who helmed the first two films in the franchise, returning to take the reins on "Thor: Ragnarok," something Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige debunked.

"Not true," Feige said of the rumor via Collider. "I don't know where that came from."

He then claimed that "probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer. Maybe the same person, I don't know, maybe two different people."

The film is said to stage the ultimate destruction of Asgard and Thor's desperate attempt to save it. Following the comics, this film doesn't promise the Mjolnir-wielding superhero to make it out alive. Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost will write the script.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will be released on Nov. 3, 2017 instead of July 28, 2017 to give way to Spider-Man's first Marvel solo film.
