Despite the production for Captain America's next big outing at full blast, Marvel is also working on bringing together a stellar team to make "Thor Ragnarok" a surefire blockbuster hit when it thrashes into the silver screen in two years.

According to Umberto Gonzalez, a reliable tipster for all things comic books, choosing the right director is the first step to pull that off. Speaking to Popcorn Talk, the comic book lover heard that Kenneth Branagh will own the director's seat for the third time for the upcoming flick.

However, he was quick to note that the helmer has recently been tapped to direct Fox's remake of the 1974 film "Murder on the Orient Express," which is Agatha Cristie's novel of the same name. At the moment, there is no solid detail on who will take the reins on "Thor: Ragnarok."

Tech Times hopes that the third episode following the Mjolnir-wielding Asgardian god will be a big one, with the past films bound to be easily outshined. This site adds that this time, it will be better to see the son of Odin outside of Earth, which is where he thoroughly stayed in the previous installments.

[Spoiler Alert!] What better way to do that than having the god of thunder square off against Thanos himself in "Thor: Ragnarok." The supervillain, who fans got the chance to see once more in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," will make for an action-filled flick for sure.

Matter-of-factly, the death-consumed mutant may even be the one to endow Thor his inevitable demise in the film and will be the one to orchestrate how this will be done, much like what he did with Ronan for "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Loki in "The Avengers."

Media outlets suggest that the level of destruction that will be seen in "Thor: Ragnarok" possesses a scale that only Thanos can manage. Besides, it won't be much of a stretch for power-hungry Loki to bargain with Thanos for greater supremacy most likely summoned from an Infinity Stone.

Furthermore, Thanos can call upon Norse god Surtur in "Thor: Ragnarok" to do some serious damage. He can easily provide the necessary resources for the fire titan to reduce Asgard into rubble.

Story-wise, it will set the stage for the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" movies, which will see things changed up in the supervillain and crime-fighting business. "Thor: Ragnarok" will be out on Nov. 3 2017.
