After his absence in "Captain America: Civil War," Thor, Son of Odin, has wowed viewers and critics all over the world with "Thor: Ragnarok." The third Thor movie earned over $13 million after its debut in North America.

Several reviews from film experts commended the comedic element of the movie that sets it apart from previous Marvel movies. According to a review by Empire, "Thor: Ragnarok" is by far the funniest movie produced by Marvel.

Many fans consider the third Thor movie as the biggest success of Marvel. It received a 95% rating from Rotten Tomatoes and an 8 out of 10 score from IMDb. The movie did a lot better compared to "Captain America: Civil War," according to ratings. Civil War only received 90% from Rotten Tomatoes and a 7 out of 9 score from IMDb despite featuring most of the avengers and including Spiderman's (Tom Holland) debut in the Marvel franchise.

The plot of the movie revolves around the struggle of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) after Hela (Cate Blanchett) decided to claim the throne and destroyed most of Asgard. Thor reunited with another member of the Avengers, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in the pits of Sakaar.

Tom Hiddleston also reprised his role as Loki. Doctor Stranger (Benedict Cumberbatch) also made a short cameo in the movie. The entire ensemble including new characters like Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), and Skurge (Karl Urban) brought a new brilliant chemistry, according to many people.

The movie faced a tough ordeal after a major leakage of a teaser trailer for the upcoming superhero film "Avengers: Infinity War" in July. The leaked trailer revealed the ending of the "Thor: Ragnarok," with Thor floating around space and bumping into the "Guardians of the Galaxy." The video also revealed most of the Marvel characters to appear in the third movie installment of the Avengers. Next in line for Marvel is "Black Panther" in 2018.
