While Marvel Studio's president Kevin Feige has stressed that the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok" is different from another Marvel movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy," he admits that the box-office success of the latter influenced the tone of the upcoming Chris Hemsworth-starrer.

Many fans have raved about when "Thor: Ragnarok" released its first-ever commercial trailer earlier this month. However, the same trailer also prompted some people to point out that the tone of the upcoming movie is similar to the 2014 Marvel blockbuster, "Guardians of the Galaxy," whose sequel, incidentally, is currently making waves at the box office.

However, in an interview with Feige, he dismissed the observations of some fans pointing out that "Thor: Ragnarok" bears some similarities with "Guardians of the Galaxy." According to Feige, the tone of the third "Thor" movie is distinctly that of its director, Taika Waititi. Nonetheless, the Marvel Studios president admits that "Guardians of the Galaxy" has influenced the studio's other movies, not only "Thor: Ragnarok," in more ways than one.

"He's really adding a very unique point of view to it, but certainly the success of 'Guardians' just boosted our confidence to continue to go in new, fun, weird directions, and I think that led to 'Doctor Strange' and certainly, ultimately, leads to the things we're doing in 'Infinity War,'" Feige said in an exclusive interview with Heroic Hollywood.

Meanwhile, one of the most notable changes that has happened to Thor in the upcoming movie involves his look. After seeing the Asgardian God of Thunder sporting long wavy hair in the past two "Thor" and "Avengers" movies, fans see him finally sporting short hair for the first time ever in "Thor: Ragnarok." However, in an interview with Waititi last month, he revealed that Thor's appearance will not be the only change fans will see in him in the upcoming movie.

"Crazier things happen to Thor than new hair," Waititi hints in an interview with The Guardian earlier.

"Thor: Ragnarok" hits theaters this Nov. 3.
