Thousands of young Christians explore faith that pleases God

Young people from across Europe are in the small south German town of Offenburg this week for OM’s annual TeenStreet event.

They are there to explore Hebrews 11.6 – “Without faith it is impossible to please God” – through Bible studies, small group discussions, topical chatrooms, worship and fun activities.

There is also a large contingency of youth coming for the first time from the Faroe Islands and North Africa.

The main sessions will be translated into no less than 12 languages for the estimated 3,000 youth attending.

Main speaker Debs Walker said: “Our biggest heart for TeenStreet is that the young people would know that God is walking with them and that this week is about practically living out their faith with the Lord.”

One of the highlights of each day is the 30-minute quiet time when the whole event falls silent.

OM UK Director Gary Sloan said: “It’s breathtaking just to be still before God with 3,000 international teens – nothing is impossible.”

TeenStreet has grown over the last two decades to include events in South America, Malaysia, Australia and South Africa.
