Three members of the hit K-Pop act, Girls' Generation, will not be returning to the group. Instead, the three members will be pursuing other ventures.

According to Billboard, three stars of the Korean group namely Tiffany, Seohyun, and Sooyoung have opted not to renew their contracts with the band's agency SM Entertainment. Both Seohyun and Sooyoung plan to pursue acting while Tiffany plans to continue her studies back in the U.S. Tiffany happens to be born and raised in California and can speak fluent English.

The remaining five members namely Taeyeon, YoonA, Yuri, Hyoyeon, and Sunny have chosen to renew their contracts with the Korean entertainment company. An SM representative told reporters, "Girls' Generation is a precious and meaningful group for SM and for fans. The members are not thinking of disbandment at all. However, since there are members whose contracts have been terminated, we will discuss the future direction of Girls' Generation with the members and make a careful decision."

Even though the three members are not with Girls' Generation anymore, they have established some solo influence among their fans. Tiffany and Seohyun have released successful solo albums. Tiffany was also able to collaborate with the hit rap group Far East Movement recently. Seohyun and Sooyoung have made considerable headway in acting and have appeared in a number of Korean television shows. Seohyun has always been a fan of musicals and consequently has appeared in a number of popular stage shows.

Nevertheless, the departure of the three members will leave a number of Girls' Generations fans crying as they feel things will not be the same as before. Twitter user "Soshi" said, "I feel like the whole K-Pop world is reeling from a loss right now. No matter what fandom you're from, [Sonyeo Sidae] SNSD are queens of K-Pop."
