Thursday Night Football: Packers vs Vikings [TV schedule, preview]

Thursday Night Football takes place tonight and will feature a big match up between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers. Both teams come into the game at .500 with a 2-2 record, but only one will be able to improve on that tonight.

Thursday Night Football will take place at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with a start time of 8.25 p.m. EST. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS and NFL networks, but will also be available to watch online through live stream via the link provided below.

The Vikings will want to put on another solid performance tonight, having gotten their season back on track with a strong 41-28 victory over the Atlanta Falcons last weekend.

In that game the Vikings started and finished the game well, but went through a lull either side of half time, especially in the third quarter. They will be hoping to put on a more complete performance tonight, but will want to maintain the intensity they managed to reach in offense, which saw them put on more than 40 points against Atlanta.

However, they will be up against a Packers team who will be brimming with confidence against destroying the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Week 4.

Coming into the game it was the Bears who had done well through the opening three weeks, where as the Packers had disappointed somewhat. But when they came head to head it was Green Bay who came out ahead.

The Packers-Bears game was a tense affair through the first half, but in the second it became all one way traffic, and the Packers piled on 17 points while the Bears were locked out completely through Quarters three and four.

So two teams who had excellent Week 4's just days ago will now contest Thursday Night Football, but only one of these teams will be able to maintain their winning run.

The game starts at 8.25 p.m. EST and can be watched online by clicking here.
