Tim Hughes, Al Gordon and others to share heart for worship at London conference

Worship Central's London conference this weekend is set to welcome inspirational speakers, innovators and worship leaders as they share their insight and experience with the church's next generation of worship leaders.

Hosted by Tim Hughes and Al Gordon Worship Central London will be a Friday night and all day Saturday event, with guests including Martin Smith, Phil Wickham, Mike Pilavachi, Nicky Gumbel, Ben Cantelon, Phil Wall, Mike Lloyd, Nick & Becky Drake, Alex Nifong, Luke Hellebronth, Nikki Fletcher and Beth Croft.

US singer and songwriter Phil Wickham will be leading an acoustic worship set on the Friday night. Seminars for the event include ‘Instrument Master Classes’, song writing, leadership, all-age worship, building an effective team, a theological look at the creativity of God as well as a lunch for organists and production technicians.

Nicky Gumbel and Mike Pilavachi will be interviewed for a special main session on how to train up worship leaders.

Worship Central is a school of worship from Alpha International with a vision to encounter God, equip the worshipper and empower the local church, and is led by Tim Hughes and Al Gordon. Since launching in 2006, tens of thousands of worship leaders, musicians and worshippers have attended training events around the world, and hundreds of thousands have used the online resource, worshipcentral.org

Across 2010 Worship Central will be running series of training conferences internationally, including Holland, Germany, London, Scotland, California, Hong Kong, and India. Speakers and Worship Leaders involved in these different events past and present include Mike Pilavachi, Martin Smith (Delirious?), Nicky Gumbel, Francis Chan, Matt Redman, Brenton Brown, Pete Greig, NT Wright,. Ben Cantelon, Nikki Fletcher amongst others.

The website worshipcentral.org continues to offer practical resources for the worship community. Popular sections of the website include a monthly podcast; a new song of the month; regular blogs from Tim, Al and guests; an interactive forum, with a songwriting clinic; as well as video and audio recordings of teaching from various Worship Central events.

Worship Central is currently developing a worship course to equip worship leaders and musicians around the world.

Tim Hughes heads up Worship Central and is on staff at Holy Trinity Brompton, London, UK. He has written many songs including ‘Here I Am To Worship’, ‘Beautiful One’ and ‘Happy Day’. He has written two books, ‘Here I am to Worship’ and ‘Holding Nothing Back.’ Tim is married to Rachel and they have a little girl called Phoebe and a little boy called Simeon.

Al Gordon helps lead Worship Central, and is on staff at Holy Trinity Brompton, London, UK. His songs include ‘Because of Your Love’, and ‘Worship the Lord’. Al is married to Olivia and they have a son called Kester and a little girl called Natalia.
