Tim Tebow news: Philadelphia Eagles quarterback's number '11' is 16th most popular jersey

As the 2015 football season approaches, Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Tim Tebow has seen a lot of supporters based on his jersey sales.

According to a sales ranking provided by NFLshop.com, the backup quarterback's number "11" took 16th spot as the best-selling jersey in June.

The former Broncos athlete may have not have spent a lot of time on the field in the past years, but there is no doubt that his fame continues to rise.

According to a report from CBS Sports, Tebow's jersey sold more jerseys from other players of the same position and even outsold jerseys of some starting quarterbacks.

Taking 16th spot may not be considered top rank, but the news outlet reports that the number "11" jersey beat Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch's "24" and Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's "9".

Furthermore, it was seen that Tebow's jersey sales topped the higher-paid free agent Ndamukong Suh, whose jersey number "93" placed only next to Tebow's.

Despite the fact that Tebow did not really experience prolonged success in the league, it's interesting to know that he has nothing but praises since he came to Philly.

Following the spring workouts, Eagles team head coach Chip Kelly praised Tebow for his major improvement as a passer. According to him, Tebow has become a better passer and he was getting used to the team's ways, which was something different from what he was used to.

Kelly also added that he was excited to see where their efforts would take the player as they move on. Once they move forward to the August 2 Eagles training camp, a good competition is expected, according to the coach.

The team's running back, DeMarco Murray, also agreed with Kelly and described Tebow not only as "a good player" but also as a hardworking guy, according to USA Today.
