In the much-awaited first-person shooter "Titanfall 2," mech-lovers will once again be able to control a new set of Titans as a pilot fighting battles in the Frontier.
"Titanfall 2" is about the ongoing battle between two major factions in the Frontier: the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation and the Militia. Battles in the Frontier are fought with Titans, powerful mech suits equipped with advanced weapons and controlled by pilots.
In the game "Titanfall 2," players can choose from six Titans. Each Titan has a specific ability that is perfect for certain strategies.
The first two Titans for "Titanfall 2" were announced earlier this year at "Titanfall 2's" tech test. One of the Titans is Ion, a Titan equipped with a shoulder-mounted laser, a chest-fired laser core blast, and a vortex shield for its line of defense.
The second Titan introduced was Scorch, a Titan whose skills revolves around using fire. Scorch is equipped with a firewall attack powered with thermite, a thermal shield, and a flame core, allowing it to attack its enemies with a massive wave of fire.
As for the final four Titans, first comes Ronin, a perfect selection for players who crave speed since it is the fastest moving Titan available. Ronin is equipped with a huge shotgun that can greatly affect close range enemies without difficulties in accuracy.
Another Titan with amazing mobility is Legion. Though Legion might not be as fast as Ronin, the former does possess plenty of health, therefore making it a great tanker. Legion is equipped with a mini-gun that features both long and short range firing modes.
But if mobility is the main attribute a player is looking for, then the best choice would be Northstar. Unlike other Titans, Northstar is equipped with a hover feature that enables it to somewhat jump over low- and mid-sized walls. What's more, Northstar can use its hovering abilities to literally make missiles rain over enemies below it. Additionally, Northstar uses a unique sniper rifle as its main weapon.
All Titans have a specific forte when it comes to battle, but if a player is looking for balanced attributes, Tone is the best option. Tone is equipped with a machine gun-like rifle along with balanced health, speed, and damage statistics. The Titan Tone has the ability to track and shoot enemies using its sonar-like feature.
"Titanfall 2" is set for release on Oct. 28 for the PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
