Game developer Respawn Entertainment has released Patch v2.0.7 for its "Titanfall 2" PC version. The patch brings in Adaptive Resolution Scaling, improved GPU performance, and several other tweaks.

The patch notes posted on the game's official forum stated that the Windows version of the game will now have an Adaptive Resolution Scaling and requires Transparency Super-sampling Anti-aliasing (TSAA) disabled. This feature will allow the game to lower the number or quality images projected to the monitor in order to maintain a stable framerate.

PC machines with low spec video cards will mostly benefit for this add-on. This will allow the game to constantly deliver a 60 fps frame rate on, for example, a 4K monitor. This will then deliver a smoother video, hence, a more enjoyable gaming experience.

Jayfresh from Respawn, who also acts as the community manager, reminded players that they should also set the game's resolution appropriate to the capacity of their machines. He said, "If you run a resolution or target framerate much higher than your machine will be capable of achieving you will be hindering image quality significantly as the Adaptive Resolution feature will be constantly downscaling your output to maintain performance. All systems will be different, so you should try different settings to see what works best for you and your configuration."

Additionally, Patch 2.0.7 also brings improvements in stability and performance of the GPU. The studio adjusted the recommended settings for low specs GPUs, fixed the aspect ratio when switching between full screen and window mode, fixed the weird-looking subtitles in the 21:9 ratio, and remedied the display issues in the Network lobbies.

It also brought in fixes for stuttering and playback issues during a voice chat, colorblind settings, various grapple gameplay issues, and speed allocation when looking for a Private Match dedicated servers. The grapple rope will not disappear anymore with TSAA enabled, and they remedied the NVIDIA Surround crash issue and rare hard locks as well.

Respawn also mentioned that the Archer and Thunderbolt Titans can now use the Aim-Down-Sights while wallhanging, Bubble Shield will now deflect Kraber shots and weapon mods not properly showing on customization menus.

"Titanfall 2" is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
