Titanfall 2 release date: Not coming out this year

Game developer Respawn Entertainment will not be unveiling any new games at the E3 Gaming conference and that includes the much awaited Titanfall 2.

The game developer made the announcement via Twitter by CEO Vince Zampella though some gamers are still hoping that the announcement was something made to throw them off.

Many found it strange that Respawn would make such an announcement for the said game, who were hoping to get at least a trailer to the said game.

There were initial rumors before the said announcement that Titanfall 2 could be likely announced at E3 and such were confirmed by no less than Zampella, the same person who tweeted that there would be no Titanfall 2 at the coming Electronic Entertainment Expo from June 16-18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Though the sequel may not come out at E3, a consolation comes in the fact that the company is indeed working on a sequel. This came from Zampella himself back in March who also added that there is no official name for the sequel of the first-person shooter game.

He added that they were putting up a second team and that the game would be playable in multiplatforms, meaning that the gamer can play the game on the PS4 and perhaps PS3. Previously, there were only game versions for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC.

And apparently this is one reason for the delay though Zampella did stress that the company will go back to the drawing boards for the sequel. He shared as well that there is a second team on board to address the small issue and that he expected to them to be tight-lipped about it.

These announcements practically put a damper for gamers awaiting the said game who may have to shelve any hopes of seeing it come out in 2015. Perhaps a 2016 coming could be more reasonable? We will just have to wait and see.
