There has been a lot of progress when it comes to putting together the upcoming "Titans" TV series. The latest reports suggest that the backstories of its main characters will be included in the series.

An audition tape revealed by Omega Underground seems to indicate an important aspect in Dick Grayson's life, his stint as a member of the Flying Graysons. The audition tape in particular is of Tim Campbell, who is auditioning for the role of Ben Crossland. As fans who have been keeping themselves up-to-date with the progress of the series would know, the Crossland name is actually the stand-in for the Graysons.

Although the scene is referring to the family as a group of singers, it seems to be a stand-in for the family's careers as circus acrobats. The scene that Campbell is doing in the audition tape shows Ben talking to a young "John Crossland" also known as the code name for Dick Grayson/Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites). The dialogue in the scene suggests that John is looking out at a crowd while waiting for their turn to perform, before he tells him that it is bad luck to do so.

Although the Flying Graysons is an important aspect to Dick Grayson, it is unclear what importance it will have in the series itself. It is likely that it some flashbacks might be included, perhaps of their deaths, which becomes Dick's motivation to become a superhero. Some reports that have circulated online have also suggested that the man who killed the Graysons, Tony Zucco, would be making an appearance on the show in some form.

Alongside the Flying Graysons and Tony Zucco, some new casting breakdowns that have surfaced online tease the appearance of several other characters from DC Comics. As revealed by That Hashtag Show, four casting breakdowns were revealed.

One of which is named Daniel Cross, who is speculated to be the code name for Roy Harper a.k.a. Arsenal or Danny Chase a.k.a. Phantasm. Daniel is described as athletic, street smart, cocky but charming at the same time. Daniel's life is changed forever when he encounters a crime fighter and is then given an outlet for his rebellious ways.

The second breakdown refers to a Jennifer Andrews, which might be the code name for Rita Farr, also known as Elasti-Girl, who becomes the adoptive mother of Beast Boy in the comics. Jennifer is described as like the classic girl-next-door actor from the 1940s to 50s. Jennifer is also described to look and think like a Stepford and feels like someone out of time.

The third breakdown is for Caroline, which is speculated to be Angela Roth or Arella, a.k.a. Raven's mother. Raven was conceived by Angela and Trigon, which is possibly included in the show. As for The Messenger, the character is likely Brother Blood, who also has a connection to the Titans as well as Raven's father Trigon, so that is a way for him to appear.

"Titans" will premiere in 2018 on DC's digital streaming service.
