'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 release date, spoilers: New season won't deviate from source, to finally continue with the manga?

There remains no update on the status of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 from Studio Pierrot, and some fans are starting to worry that the anime has met its untimely end.

It's been almost a year and a half since the second season of the series ended. Majority of the fans did not receive it well because it extremely moved away from the manga by Sui Ishida where it is based on.

It was especially frustrating for fans as the first season followed the source material to the letter. This was also the reason why some fans are not on board "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3.

The possibility that the anime will change things up from the manga once more is something that fans of Ishida's work would not want to see.

However, according to the latest reports, "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be faithful to the manga following the backlash that came with the second season.

It got so bad that fans filed an online petition for the anime to be out of Studio Pierrot and into Madhouse, which is known for adapting shows accurately from their source material such as the acclaimed "Death Note."

That being said, "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be back on track in the manga, which has become more popular now with more volumes being put out.

However, there's no word on the development. It was rumored that a third season was being planned with ghoul and high school student Touka Kirishima, who has been guiding protagonist Ken Kaneki in the ghoul world, as the protagonist.

It will reportedly focus on Touka's journey to college where fans will watch her choose which school to attend and take entrance exams.

Studio Pierrot is yet to confirm "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 and give any updates about it. For now, fans can get by with the help of the upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul" action film slated for summer 2017.

More recently, I’ve enjoyed Christian movies Unsung Hero and Jesus Revolution on limited release in the UK, but it’s rare for such films to make the multiplex chains.
