The much-awaited "Tom Clancy's The Division" beta will drop this month after all. The closed multiplayer beta will first be available to Xbox One players on Jan. 28 for their 24-hour early access before PS4 and PC gamers get their hands on it by Jan. 29.

The beta testing for the upcoming open-world third-person shooter role-playing video game will run until Jan. 31. Gamers will be allowed to explore the terrorized streets of Manhattan all throughout the affair.

"Beginning on Manhattan's Chelsea Pier, the beta will take you through early story-driven missions that establish your foothold in New York. You'll team up with other agents to battle for loot and outwit other agents in the PvP-enabled Dark Zone," developer Ubisoft detailed in a blog post.

Those who pre-ordered "Tom Clancy's The Division" are guaranteed a spot in the closed multiplayer beta testing. Those who don't want to purchase the game prior to its release can register on a waiting list here.

Before Ubisoft made the announcement about the date the highly anticipated "Tom Clancy's The Division" beta will take place, a Reddit user provided (now deleted) details a week earlier about the PS4 and PC beta that proved accurate.

The beta testing was supposed to be held December last year on the Xbox One. Ubisoft ended up conducting the closed alpha for players of the new generation Microsoft console instead. Either way, this marked the first time players managed to try the game past its Dark Zone PvP areas.

Meanwhile, a new gameplay video for "Tom Clancy's The Division" has been made available for players to check out as they wait for the beta test. Notably, it was first leaked by Gamestop Italy, which immediately took notice and set it private. Not long after, it was officially released.

Ubisoft also embedded a newer gameplay trailer for the game in the post where it announced the closed multiplayer beta. "Tom Clancy's The Division" will be out March 8.
