Players of Ubisoft's highly popular online-only open world shooter video game "Tom Clancy's The Division" were somewhat disappointed when the company had announced that the last two downloadable content (DLC) expansion packs for the game were going to be delayed.

Now, the company seems to have everything in order as they prepare to launch the game's second DLC expansion pack, which is called "Survival."

The company had released the game's first DLC expansion "Underground" back in June. The DLC included several missions that were set inside the city's tunnels and subways.

Ubisoft had originally planned to then release the second and third DLCs right away, but then announced that they will be delaying their releases as they needed to fix a number of balancing issues and bugs within the game.

Ubisoft previously mentioned that "Survival" was going to be coming out late 2016, while the game's final DLC — "Last Stand" — was moved to a 2017 release date. Now that the year is about to end, Ubisoft has finally removed the curtains for its latest DLC, giving players their first look at the DLC's new content.

During a recent live Twitch broadcast, the company showcased the DLC's new "Survival" mode that can be played by up to 24 players. The new mode is set in a snowed-in version of the game's main map, with each player being dropped at different locations. Each player needs to make their way to the center of Manhattan, while also slowly upgrading their gear and surviving the harsh environments by collecting better items to keep themselves warm. Each player starts off with low level items and a single pistol.

The game's latest DLC expansion pack will be released first for the Xbox One and the PC version of the game, thanks to the company's marketing deal with Microsoft. PlayStation 4 players, on the other hand, will be getting their copy of the DLC a month after.

The DLC's beta version is currently now available to try out via Uplay, with a copy to be released soon on Steam along with a free patch update.
