"Tom Clancy's The Division" will reportedly be offering in-game microtransactions.

According to the game's listing on the PlayStation Store, "Tom Clancy's The Division" will have optional in-game purchases.

The good news for gamers is that even though "Tom Clancy's The Division" looks set to offer microtransactions, the items that can be obtained via these purchases don't appear to be significant to the game itself.

Since they are optional in-game purchases, players should presumably be able to progress inside the game even without them.

As NDTV notes, the microtransactions that may be offered inside "Tom Clancy's The Division" may amount to cosmetic items as opposed to those pieces that have a discernible impact on gameplay.

More details about the microtransactions set to be offered inside "Tom Clancy's The Division" should be revealed as the game's release date draws closer.

In related news, a newly leaked trailer for the game is giving fans a better idea of what they can expect from open world title.

According to Digital Trends, the new trailer gives fans a better look at some of the areas inside the game.

The trailer provides a better look at some of the New York City locations that will be featured in the game as well as the safe zones that will be crucial to gameplay. The safe zones inside "Tom Clancy's The Division" will be the places players can visit in order purchase items and also take on quests handed out by non-player characters (NPCs).

The trailer also gives players a better look at how weapons will work inside the game, including a feature that reportedly allows them to quickly add mods to firearms they are currently using.

A beta for the game is also reportedly set to start before the end of January.

"Tom Clancy's The Division" is currently scheduled to launch on March 8.
